Section 22

The hardest part of this section for me to understand was how to go from partitions back to an equivalence relationship. I think the idea is just to work backwards, but the proofs were a bit confusing to visualize. Also, the concept of transversals was totally lost on me, the equations got ugly looking quickly and I didn't really understand how they were being calculated. I know what the definition is, I just can't wrap my head around the computation and the "floor" of x.

Other than that it wasn't too bad. The jigsaw puzzle analogy helped a lot and was easy to visualize, and the idea of not overlapping, no empty sets, and covering all elements of A made total sense to me, which I think will help me understand the more confusing parts of the chapter.
